L&D managers: Transform your brilliant Subject Matter Experts into confident, effective new trainers
Create a great new asset to the business, at no extra cost to the payroll
Your people need to be able to achieve your organisation’s mission, vision and values – and to do that, you need great trainers.
The problem
You’re being asked to do more with less – and the days of the dedicated training unit with full-time trainers and a hefty budget are done. So how do we solve this?
The solution
Your solution has been there all along.
Your brilliant Subject Matter Experts, currently delivering business as usual.
Skilled, experienced and respected, they have a wealth of knowledge, skills and credibility, and they’re ready to share that with your teams.
But there’s just one spanner in the works
One thing that’s stopping you and them from seizing this opportunity …
They have no training or experience as trainers.
‘You’re great at your job, so you’ll be great at training it!’
Sound familiar?
It’s a bit like saying ‘you’re a great football player – so you can drive the team bus to the next match!’
But do they understand how and why adults learn, current learning and development thinking?
Do they have a toolkit of practical training content development skills?
Do they have public speaking, facilitation, presentation and audience management techniques that work?
Do they know how to evaluate training and show it’s caused a permanent behaviour change, the results that matter and a real return on investment?
They may not have this skillset – yet.
Training’s a very particular set of knowledge, skills and mindsets – and these can be learned.
